“Our soul waits for the Lord, He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy oh Lord, be upon us, JUST AS WE HOPE IN YOU…” Psalm 33:20-22
“Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your (HIS) heart..”
If we delight ourselves in the Lord, then our desires are shredded and burned….and His desires become our own- delighting in the Lord is to be satisfied in Him, a longing to please Him, a passion to know Him more….and if we just delight- enough – then we will know His desires and His will that He will grant to us!
Ladies, I know each of you and I know that you “desire” to live your life for the Lord, and to walk worthy of being a disciple of Christ- BUT how much of His desire are you allowing Him live out through you TODAY? In other words, can you say “Not my will Lord, but YOURS be done”? Even if that means His will for you today is to bear the cross of shame publicly?
If you are right in the heart of the Lord’s will, then praise the Lord and thank you for setting the standard…. Today allow Jesus to interrupt you as you chat with a friend or colleague, cook dinner, or study for class, or even teach a class. My desire is that the Lord is well pleased when He looks down upon you and me today. But how will I know if the Lord is pleased, or if this blesses His heart, or if….. Stop and ASK Him today- “God, this is what I am faced with today, show me (in your Word;), what your business is today that you want me to be part of…” Be surrendered, utterly NEEDY for Jesus. Not to just say that “In Him, I live and move..” but to be a living sacrifice proving to the world that “IN JESUS- I can live, and move” if we (our small little group) can live our lives like this- then our life would be an Anthem for our Lord…how it is worth it.
So my rambling bring me to this point- if today you haven’t offered every little lingering thought, worries, anxieties, relationships, jobs, concerns… to our Savior, then please do that now, there is no need to wait any longer! There are far too many lost souls that haven’t seen or heard, for us to be distracted with the useless things of this world.
The enemy doesn’t just succeed when we are down, he wants to disarm us and make us ineffective! Do not be deceived my sisters!!! We’ve studied in Colossians 2: 15 that Jesus “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” – Think about that….
