There is MUCH for us to be continually thankful for, and it is always good to pause, reflect and express gratitude to our Lord. I spent some time thinking of the things to thank the Lord for this Thanksgiving (as it seemed fitting to do so on this holiday), and at first it began with the general: salvation, husband, baby, family, church, food, shelter… but then my heart was drawn deeper, as His Spirit reminded me of the prayers lifted up that He’d answered, His abundant provision, unconditional love, never-ending pursuit of my heart… on and on…. EVEN for the trials experienced, and knowing our sweet Savior heard each and every cry of my heart expressed to Him in secret… As my mind attempted to process and comprehend the expression of gratitude overflowing from my heart, there is one thing that is certain: there is nothing & no one GREATER than Christ for us to be thankful for.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17
